How to Access & Manage Your Account

A quick guide for students & members of Alliance Française San Diego

Step 1

Getting Started: Log In

  • Go to www.afsandiego.org
  • Sign in with your email address and password — use the Login button in the top right corner of the site
  • First time? Use the "Forgot password" link to set a password
  • Your portal works on computers, tablets and phones — 24/7

Step 2

Manage Your Account

  • View and update your personal details and contact information
  • Change your password at any time
  • Keep your email up to date — it is how we reach you
  • Manage your communication preferences

Completing your profile

Open My Profile from the menu that appears when you click your name (Bonjour) at the top right:

  • Update your email address, password and display name
  • Complete your profile: address, phone, date of birth — the date of birth is required for minor students
  • Other last name is optional, for families
  • Set your course location preference (Online / In-Person at AFSD) and interests — optional, to know you better
  • Don't forget to click Update Profile to save

NB: For parents of students, make sure to log into the right profile. Only the account of the enrolled student has access to the assignments.

Step 3

Navigate to Your Student Portal

Once logged in, click your name (Bonjour) at the top right and choose Student Portal.

Your membership

  • Check your membership status and expiry date on your portal dashboard
  • You can download and even print your membership card. We do not ask for it, but you may want to have it to benefit from offers reserved for our members with some of our partners

Step 4

Inside the Student Portal: Courses

  • Check your class schedule and upcoming sessions
  • Download course materials and documents shared by your teacher
  • Read announcements and posts from your class
  • Keep up with assignments and homework between lessons

Inside each course page you will find the Course Feed, My Assignments, My Documents and Students in the left-hand menu.

Step 5

Book Classes: Group or Private

In your student portal, open Book a Course (or Private Courses for one-to-one lessons).

  • Browse by Youth, Adults or All Ages
  • Filter by age, level, session, location, type, and day/time
  • Unsure of your level in French? Take a free placement test from the booking page

Step 6

Access Your Invoices

  • In your student portal, open Invoices in the left-hand menu
  • View your Purchase History and download past invoices
  • Manage your Recurring Billing Plans (e.g. memberships)
