We offer one of the largest selections of French-language materials in San Diego—from literary classics to new releases, comic books, DVDs, and CDs.
As a member, you can borrow from our library and benefit from the access to Culturethèque.


How to borrow a book or DVD

Visit the library at the Alliance Française de San Diego at:
6390 Greenwich Dr, #185, San Diego, CA 92122

Please note: Most of our books are housed inside our classrooms, so browsing is available during the hours listed below. Returns may be made at any time during office hours. If you are looking for a specific item or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Library borrowing privileges include:

• Up to 4 items at a time with an individual membership
• Up to 6 items at a time with a family membership
• Loan period: 1 month for all borrowed items
• Only labeled items may be borrowed
• Some books are available for on-site reading only
• Items may be renewed once, unless they are already on hold for another member

• Monday: 12 pm – 4 pm
  
• Tuesday: 9:30 am – 2 pm
  
• Wednesday: 9:30 am – 2 pm
  
• Thursday: 12 pm – 4 pm
  
• Friday: 11 am – 4 pm

These hours are susceptible to change for special events, classes and/or holidays as well as during the summer as we organize summer camps.

Book donations
We are accepting book donations for children's books and very recent books in good condition. 

Contact afsdlibrary@gmail.com with your donation proposal so we can advise you on how to proceed.
