Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement
Wine Tasting and Food Pairing on November 13, 2026, 'event'
By participating in this event, I understand and acknowledge the following:
- The Wine Tasting and Food Pairing event is held at a third-party venue, and the Alliance Française de San Diego is not responsible for the preparation, ingredients, or service of any food or beverages consumed on-site.
- I am solely responsible for any food or drink I choose to consume during the event.
- If I decide to consume an alcoholic beverage, I will do so responsibly: I won't drink more than I can safely handle, if I drive I will limit my consumption, and I will eat at the same time to reduce alcohol absorption.
- I release and hold harmless the Alliance Française de San Diego, its employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability related to food or beverage consumption, including but not limited to allergic reactions, foodborne illness, or accidents occurring during the event.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT RELEASE:
In the unforeseen circumstance of personal/bodily injuries, imposed on oneself and others, as well as property damage to third parties, arising from a motor vehicle accident after participation of the 'event' arranged by the AFSD, I agree to not filing any settlement claim out of court, or make claim between insurance parties involved, and without filing a civil claim against the AFSD. Circumstances such as: Casualties, Personal/bodily injury, Medical claims, Surgical, Ambulance, Hospital, Professional nursing/medical care, Funeral expenses, Death, Property damage, Auto physical damage, Loss arising out of legal liability to others.
By signing this waiver, I hereby release the AFSD of all liability for claims, known and unknown, arising from injury, compensation for loss of work, medical expenses and personal hardship sustained in a vehicle accident.
ALLERGY WAIVER
Participants are aware of any food allergy contents in any food or beverages provided during the 'event' by the AFSD. Participants hereby voluntarily agree to RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, and COVENANT NOT TO SUE on behalf of the AFSD, its staff, or host. The AFSD is not responsible for any allergic reactions of any individual; however, should a guest have any allergic reaction, the AFSD staff is trained for CPR and will immediately call 911. Participant signatures below acknowledge these terms.
