The Alliance Française

The Alliance Francaise was created in 1883 by renowned French personalities like Louis Pasteur, Ernest Renan, and Jules Verne, to name a few. Having an Alliance Francaise in San Diego is pursuing their ideal to make France shine abroad. Our Alliance was established in 2007 and has served hundreds of students each year. We are part of a network of more than 100 chapters in the United States and of more than 832 affiliates, in 128 countries, located on every continent.

The Alliance Française of San Diego

The Alliance Francaise of San Diego (AFSD), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, promotes the French Language and francophone cultures to the residents of San Diego County.

Located on Lusk Boulevard since 2009, we offer group and private French classes, in a group or private, on-site and online. We are also a site where you can take exams that will be useful all your life to validate your level in French.

We are a cultural center. France, its overseas departments, and all French-speaking countries have a lot to offer to you in terms of diversity and collaboration. Do you want to be immersed in francophone cultures? Look no further: right here in San Diego, the francophone community is significant and willing to share its treasures.

We have a great library with books you can borrow with a membership

We are a small team, but a team with heart, motivated by the goal to give accessible French classes to all.
