About the Event
In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us for a special presentation on the extraordinary life of Niki de Saint Phalle, one of the most bold and visionary artists of the 20th century. French-American and deeply connected to San Diego—where she lived and left a lasting artistic imprint—her work transformed personal darkness into vibrant, monumental creations that continue to inspire generations.
This presentation will be led by Laurence, Director of Cultural Affairs of the AFSD, who will explore the artist’s life, legacy, and the powerful reasons why our exhibition space proudly bears her name.
