Join us for an Exceptional Lecture (in English, Free and Open to all) with world-renowned explorer Jean-Louis Étienne, a pioneer of polar expeditions and a passionate advocate for our planet. Through his stories, he will highlight the fragile beauty of our oceans, the urgency of their protection, and share an inspiring message: curiosity and perseverance have the power to change the world.
Dr. Luc Lenain, head of the Air-Sea Interaction Research Laboratory at Scripps Oceanography, will present " Autonomous robotic technologies for the Polar Pod / Persévérance and synergies with Scripps Institution of Oceanography."
Dr. Lia Siegelman, assistant professor of geophysical fluid dynamics at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD, will talk about "Challenges in polar oceanographic research: key scientific questions and climate relevance".
