Information meeting about the partnership with La Route des Langues

The Alliance Francaise de San Diego partnered with La Route des Langues, a premium APEX Education Group brand with 25+ years of experience in exclusive international language programs. We decided to partner with them because, unlike any other exchange program, it’s like Airbnb for families on both continents. This means YOU decide who’s coming to live with you, and so does the family who sends their children. It's the perfect matchmaking program to ensure the best experience for you, your family, and the student who comes to live with you.

What is this program?

This program is specially curated for students ages 13 to 18 for their summer break from late June to mid-August. You can host for a minimum of 2 weeks up to 4. The platform you’ll register on is designed to tailor the students' choices to your lifestyle. You will provide accommodation and food and involve the students in family activities, events, and celebrations so they can get a real sense of what it’s like to live the American Dream for a few weeks.

Why should I participate?

This is a volunteer-based program. Host families will not be paid. It is designed for families who want to share their culture, way of living, city, and country. This is a fantastic opportunity for your kids to make lifelong friends and be exposed to French culture.

This is why it’s an exchange program: you share your culture while learning about another and practicing your French (but not too much!)
