Call for art: One World. Many Voices.

A group exhibition celebrating the causes that matter to you.
The exhibition celebrates the diversity of human experiences, perspectives, and passions. We invite artists to share work inspired by a cause they care about—whether it is equality, LGBTQ+ rights, environmental protection, mental health, social justice, cultural heritage, peace, animal welfare, or another issue close to their heart. Together, these unique voices create a richer conversation about the world we share and the future we hope to build.

It is free to submit for AFSD Members. Non members can submit with a $15 donation. You can become a member here.​

Submission guidelines

eligibility: This exhibition is open for submissions from all local artists in various mediums (painting, photography, digital works...) focusing primarily on 2D artwork and small 3D pieces. 

Here’s a brief overview:

• Exhibition Period: November 2, 2026, to December 30, 2026.
  
• Submission Requirements: One to two artworks per artist, maximum width of 30 inches, ready to hang.
  
• Drop-off and Pick-up Dates:
  
  • Drop-off: October 28 to 30
  • Pick-up: January 4 to 6
• Submission Deadline: October 2.

• Sale Commission: 20% commission on sold artworks.
  

If you plan to submit, make sure to follow the guidelines and apply promptly since submissions close once enough participants are confirmed.​

Eligibility

The call is open to all local artists, (artworks must be delivered in person). 

All backgrounds and ages are welcome.

AFSD members can submit for free.

Non members can submit with a donation of $15 at this link.
If you are able, we warmly welcome additional donations to further support our programs. If the submission fee presents a financial hardship, please contact us so we can review your request and discuss possible fee adjustments.

Submissions must be complete to be reviewed.

Exhibition Period

November 2, 2026, to December 30, 2026.
Opening night: date to be confirmed
The artist(s) agree not to request the return of any artwork, before the end of the agreed exhibition term.

Type of Artworks

Any medium in 2D, ready to hang, will be considered. We also have a small space for small-sized 3D artworks.
All artworks must be suitable for children and for public display. The Alliance Française of San Diego reserves the right to decline any artwork it deems offensive or otherwise incompatible with the overall nature and environment of the Alliance. The artist(s) warrant that the artwork is their original creation and does not violate any copyright, trademark, or similar laws and regulations.​

Size and number of artworks

Each artist can submit and exhibit One to two artworks for this exhibition with a maximum width of 30 inches.

Artwork Installation and Removal 

The artists are responsible for the packing, delivery and removal of the artwork to and from the Alliance Française of San Diego. The artwork must be ready to hang. ​

• Drop-off: October 28 to 30
• Pick-up: January 4 to 6

If you are not available during these days, someone else can drop or pick up in your name. ​

Artwork Insurance

The Alliance Française of San Diego does not accept responsibility for the loss, damage, or theft of consigned works during the exhibition. Artist(s) are responsible for arranging their own insurance.​

Promotion

The Alliance Française of San Diego will promote the exhibition and reception through its website, newsletter, and social media.  

Artwork Sale

In the event of a sale, artists are required to make a donation to the Alliance Française of San Diego equivalent to 20% of the listed selling price of the artwork.
