French Film Club (with English sub)

Event registrations are non-refundable, but vouchers may be issued according to the cancellation policy below.

Some events such as the French Film Festival, or other specific events have specific policies which can defer from our general policy.

1/ If you notify us of the cancellation in writing more than three (3) weeks before the start of an event, we can provide you with a voucher equal to 100% of the registration fee for any other event of your choice. 

2/ If you cancel between 3 weeks and a week (5 open days) before an event, you'll get a voucher equal to the event payment, minus an admin fee of $5.

3/ If you cancel less than a week (5 open days) before an event, no voucher can be offered. For some events, you can offer your ticket to another person. If you purchased a ticket at members’ price, the ticket may be offered to another member.

The AFSD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event if enrollment is insufficient. In such a case, the AFSD will provide you a voucher for any other event of your choice.

Conduct Policy

Punctuality: While some events allow for flexible arrival times, others begin promptly. If you arrive late, we may not always be able to guarantee entry or participation.

​To ensure a positive and welcoming environment for all, participants are expected to behave respectfully at all times. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Our events are safe spaces: personal attacks, offensive remarks, or discussions of sensitive topics are not permitted.

Participants must maintain appropriate health and hygiene standards, including wearing clean clothing and practicing good personal care, so that everyone can participate comfortably.

Contagious Illness: Anyone with a contagious illness should remain at home until fully recovered, for their own well-being and out of respect for others.

Personal Belongings: participants are responsible for their own belongings. The Alliance is not liable for lost or stolen items. A lost and found is available—please contact us if you believe you left something behind.

These rules apply to all classes, workshops, and events organized by the Alliance Française de San Diego. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in dismissal from the activity. The Alliance also reserves the right to refuse enrollment or access to events to any person who does not respect these standards.

If you believe you made a purchase by mistake, please contact us within 24 hours. While we cannot guarantee a refund, we will review each request individually and may offer a voucher as an alternative. For refunds, a $25 administrative fee applies to cover bank and website processing costs.
