Born and raised in Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium, Benedicte graduated from the School of Nursing in Verviers, Belgium and was a preventive health educator in Burkina Faso. She moved to San Diego in 1999 and while raising her children, she went back to school to study Child Development and worked as a preschool teacher. Her warm and rigorous personality allows her to communicate effectively with children. Her passion for teaching children, her enthusiasm and energy are a relevant asset for our school.

Benedicte Bonaventure
Ms Amanda Eliot is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the American Society for Engineering Education, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. She has received a number of recognitions for her research, teaching, and public service, including seven honorary doctorates and the Benjamin Garver Lamme Medal from the American Society of Engineering Education.
