To all the cheesy lovers and romantic fans,
The most romantic day of the year is approaching… Valentine’s day, although the French might differ and argue that romance is something that must be celebrated on a daily basis. I am here to tell you a little bit about the places I found more romantic in my time in Paris, and for the ones who have never been I would formally like to recommend my top 3 places in Paris to visit with your sweetheart.
- Trocadero Station. Yes, you guys guessed it. The station that allows you to appreciate the Eiffel Tower at its best. Where people go and take their best selfies and Instagram pictures to share with the world, the second you spot the Eiffel Tower, you can feel the extra romance in the air and sharing a nice picnic in the garden that faces the Eiffel Tower is definitely something that needs to be on your bucket list of things to experience with your love one.
- Seine River. I am not sure what it is about this river, but if you want to take the advice of a francophile you should definitely experience walking by the river holding the hand of your boyfriend/fiancée/husband. For a bonus that in my opinion will be cherished in your heart for the rest of your life, buy tickets for the cruise by the Seine river (at night ) so you can experience a ride through many of the highlights of the city: The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d‘Orsay, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc. as you float along the Seine River.
- Jardin de Luxembourg. I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful and gigantic garden… I remember as I was walking around, I got this strange feeling of appreciation and I thought to myself how beautiful it would be to share this amazing feeling with some that I care about. This garden has beautiful buildings that look like art and makes you feel like a royal. It’s like a mind-escape… who wouldn’t want to share that with their special someone?
Valentine’s day is about spending quality time with your favorite person: your best friend, your mom, your grandma, your dad, your boyfriend or girlfriend. I believe this day is just a good reminder for all us to pay extra attention to those who are close to your heart. Hopefully, one day all of us francophiles can experience this romantic day around the most romantic cities of all…PARIS.
Lots of love,
Votre amie Madame C-Blanchard
