Our Board Members
Xavier was born and raised in Brignoles, a small town in Provence, South of France. He obtained his Masters’s degree in Electronics in Toulon.
He has lived and worked in France but also in Switzerland and Sweden. In 2001, he settled in San Diego where he currently works for a large semiconductor company as Research & Development Digital Engineering Manager.
Xavier has been involved with the Alliance Francaise de San Diego since 2001 and is currently the Vice-President.
He has a passion for the French language and francophone cultures. He loves traveling and learning more about new cultures. He enjoys going out with his family and friends, trying new restaurants and watching international movies. He also likes soccer, racquetball, snorkeling, skiing, hiking and playing petanque, … and can’t wait for his next vacation back to the South of France.
Miroslava Alvarado was born in Panama with two nationalities, Panamanian and French. After living in France and Panama for extended periods, she graduated with honors from a Master’s Degree in International Business in Panama. Then she earned two Master’s Degree in Spanish & French from San Diego State University.
She currently works as a Spanish & French Professor and a counselor for the French club at Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, California.
Passionate with the French language and culture, Miroslava joined the Alliance Francaise de San Diego, first as a member, and since 2020 as a secretary on the Board of Trustees.
There are many other things that she loves to do, such as exercising, Zumba, yoga, dancing, hiking, biking, playing petanque, reading, cooking, watching movies, and listening to music. In addition, she loves spending time with her family and friends and traveling, exploring, and learning many different cultures.

Senami Craft joined the Alliance Française of San Diego Board of Trustees in 2022. She is half French, half Beninese, and grew up by the beach in the countryside in Vendée, France. Senami is a lawyer and is focusing her practice on servicing museums and cultural and educational organizations. She started her career as the general counsel of a startup based out of Paris and then worked as a social justice lawyer representing workers in the apparel industry. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and Masters of Law from Sciences Po Paris and the Sorbonne. Senami lives in Encinitas with her surfer husband and their son who spends the mornings exploring the beach with his Dad and the afternoons exploring local parks, museums, and workshops in French with his Mom.
