The Alliance Française de San Diego is a French Language and Cultural Center. It is one of over 800 Alliance Française located in 137 countries worldwide. We are a non-profit organization with a board, and 3 Directors, and volunteers who are dedicated to sharing their love of France.

We not only have parking, we have FREE parking.

We offer classes to children and adult at every level. We have one of the largest French Libraries in San Diego that also includes music and DVDs. We also offer a monthly book club, yoga classes, hikes and events that will make you glad to be a member.

Prices start at $35 a year for AFSD students. Regular membership is $55. Family is $80. Lifetime memberships are also available. All memberships are tax deductable and give you access to Culturethèque
among other advantages.

Culturethèque is a digital library platform of French media available for free to our members. You have access to magazines, newspapers, music and games. This is for all ages.

Our teachers are qualified French instructors with French as their mother tongue.

We offer classes by session of 10 to 13 weeks and each class is 2 hours for adults and 1.5 for children and 1 hour for Bambins (2-4yrs old). Early bird registration is $21 per hour. Regular price and Bambin’s class are $22 per hour. We also offer a drop in rate of $25. Call our office for more information.

Yes. Our benefits are available to all of our students.

Yes, many French people are present for the different events we host. We also have advanced thematic classes that meet once a week.

Yes! We offer classes for both non-native speaker and bilingual children. In the library, our children’s collections are also an excellent resource for French books, movies, and music for all ages. Additionally, keep an eye out for special seasonal children’s events.
