Goals when completing levels French 101 and 102:

  • Understand and use familiar every day expressions and very basic phrased aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
  • Introduce him/herself and others.
  • Ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
  • Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

This custom tailored class is designed to help you improve your pronunciation skills and gain new confidence in your conversational abilities. A good complement to your regular French class, it will give you the opportunity to practice  in context and understand better the subtle nuances of French language.

Systematic Grammar-level C1:
(12 weeks/ 24 hours total)

Cette classe a trois principaux objectifs:
– Aider les participants à améliorer la correction de leur français, à la fois par une étude systématique de la grammaire et par une pratique intensive des points étudiés, sous forme d’exercices variés.
– Leur permettre de mieux comprendre le fonctionnement de la langue française.
– Leur donner l’occasion de réfléchir au fonctionnement du langage en général, puisque la langue est une des principales “fenêtres” dont nous disposons pour comprendre la pensée et la culture humaine.

Cette classe offre l’occasion d’une série de conversations libres à partir d’articles ou d’extraits de livres écrits par certains des plus importants auteurs de langue française dans le domaine des sciences sociales et de la philosophie. L’objectif de la classe est double: aider les participants à se familiariser avec le vocabulaire français des sciences sociales, mais aussi réfléchir ensemble aux conditions sociales, historiques, anthropologiques, linguistiques, culturelles et politiques qui constituent le cadre de notre vie.
